How to Verify the Purity of Honey?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fake and impure honeys have become commonplace in the market today, despite many people's preference for 100% bees' honey. The problem with this is, unfortunately, fake and impure honey can be passed off as pure very easily. When viewed on the shelf, it is very hard to pick out what is pure, and what is not. There are, however, a few ways to figure this out.
Save Paper - Save Trees
Facts:
One A4 size paper consumes 10 liters of water for its production and 17 trees are cut to produce one ton of paper.
This shows the extent of damage done to the earth every time we waste our paper.
Objectives:
To reduce the wastage of paper and encourage reuse of the paper.
To reduce the wastage of resources in turn.
What we have to do?
We have to reuse the one side used papers which are wasted in our institutions and offices.
If possible send two side used papers to recycling units so that we can get a fresh recycled paper.
How this will have an impact on the environment?:
Imagine we reuse 5000 one sided papers, it means we have using 2500 papers and saving 25000 liters of water.
On the other hand if we save around 100 kg of paper, we can save atleast one tree.
So the entire duty of a single tree can be done by us by saving the equivalent amount of paper.
Hence lets go ahead to save every piece of paper to make a difference.
Solar paint
Solar Paint is the next thing that can be used as a source of saving our environment
The solar paint is a rage in market these days. Usually paint contains a toxic material which is used in large quantity in commercial paints which affects the health and surrounding of a particular house. The best option to get rid of these toxic paints is the new technology paint named the solar paint. This paint is completely made out of recycled products and is widely used these days not only to paint but also to harness the solar energy and convert it into electrical energy. This paint is one of the best alternative and completely eco friendly components.
Solar Powered Stadium
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Taiwan's dragon-shaped arena is the perfect example of the scalability of solar power. Designed by Toyo Ito, this 50,000 seat area generates 100% of its electricity from photovoltaic technology through its 8,844 solar panels that illuminate the track and field with 3,300 lux

This is so smart: Proposed bus stop would gather solar energy, convert it to electricity and then transfer to electric buses.

so what are your views about this idea???
.
.
.
Wireless solar chargers keep e-buses rolling
Proposed bus stop would gather solar energy, convert it to electricity and then transfer this to electric buses, allowing them to always be charged.

Although individual consumers may be reluctant to trade in their gas guzzlers for electric vehicles, public transit departments have already been experimenting with these low-emission alternatives. But the challenges of electric transportation are the same for municipalities: mainly, how do you keep the vehicles fully charged without constant interruptions to the travel schedule?

The ATC Solar Curve Bus Stop concept by Studio Mango, featured recently on Design Buzz, could be an answer to this conundrum. Designed for integration with existing bus stops in the Dutch city of Noord-Brabant, the Solar Curve would place inductive charging technology into bus stops that would allow electric buses to recharge their batteries every time they stop to pick up passengers.

Inductive charging uses an electromagnetic field to transfer energy between two objects. Energy is sent through inductive coupling to an electrical device, which then can use that energy to charge its batteries.

Approximately 15.5 meters of solar panels installed on top of the structure’s roof would collect and convert sunlight into electricity throughout the day. The roof would be curved in such a way that would both protect waiting passengers from the elements and allow the energy to be transferred to the bus wirelessly anytime the vehicle pulls up underneath the overhang.

Components for inductive charging are hidden and protected against damage or dirt in the Solar Curve’s tilting roof construction. Green LED lights on the bus stop/charging station that can be read very easily by the bus driver as well as the waiting public would indicate when the bus is ready to hit the streets again.

XDModo solar charger sticks to the inside of a window to soak up the sun :)

some health benefits of star fruit (Carambola):

A. As drugs for lowering high blood pressure (hypertension).

2. As an antioxidant and anti cancer.

3. Increase endurance and stamina.

4. Prevent and treat ulcers.

5. Facilitate digestion and constipation.

6. Lowers cholesterol and blood sugar levels.

Carambola:

Carambola, also known as starfruit, is the fruit of Averrhoa carambola, a species of tree native to the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. The fruit is a popular food throughout Southeast Asia, the South Pacific and parts of East Asia. The tree is also cultivated throughout non-indigenous tropical areas, such as in Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia, Jamaica, Trinidad, Ecuador, Guyana, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Haiti and Brazil, and, in the United States, in south Florida and Hawaii.

The fruit has ridges running down its sides (usually five); in cross-section it resembles a star, hence its name. The number of ridges can vary from three to six.

Carambola is rich in antioxidants and vitamin C and low in sugar, sodium, and acid. It is also a potent source of both primary and secondary polyphenolic antioxidants. A. carambola has both antioxidant and antimicrobial activities: Scavenging of NO by the fruit extract is dependent on concentration and stage of ripening. Extracts showed antimicrobial activity against E. coli, Klebsiella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Future Taxi Green Mumbai
http://infolinkzone.blogspot.in/2012/09/a-future-taxi-green-mumbai.html

In the center of Mumbai, India, gas-driven Rickshaws are prohibited because of their noise and their pollution. By combining an electric drivetrain, which is supposed to be funded by the government, with a network of solar filling stations, Taxi Green Mumbai provides a clean and green solution for the inner city. It reaches up to 300km on a single fill, which makes it useable for one day of driving at a top speed of 30km/h. The design takes its clues from old Rickshaws and their history in the last century. To make it as simple as possible, the whole electronic system is limited to the front part of the vehicle. The battery is located beneath the passengers, as well as a small luggage compartment, which can be locked from inside the cabin only. As there is a lot of rain in Mumbai, the cabin can be partially closed on the sides by pulling out a canvas cover. When there is good weather, the roof of the vehicle can be opened to enjoy the drive.
